U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has announced that it has expanded the myProgress service (previously known as personalized processing times) to Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and Form I-131, Application for Travel Document.
Thanks to myProgress, users can review a personalized estimate through their online account showing how long their case may take, including an estimate of when a final decision may be issued.
It is important to note that although these estimates are based on historical patterns from similar cases, their accuracy is not guaranteed, and unforeseen factors may affect the actual processing time.
In addition to Forms I-765 and I-131, myProgress is also available to individuals with a USCIS online account who have filed applications or petitions such as Form N-400, Application for Naturalization; Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card; and Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative.
To view these estimates, interested individuals must log in to their USCIS online account and select their pending case. If the application or petition was filed electronically or linked using an online access code, they will be able to view a section called “myProgress” related to their case.
This section will display the estimated time until a decision and track progress through three crucial milestones:
- Confirmation that the case was received.
- Completion of the biometrics appointment (if applicable).
- Decision on the case.
It is essential for users to review the Processing Times page to determine whether they are eligible to submit a case inquiry when their case exceeds standard processing times.
